Weather

The Czech Republic has a temperate climate, in the transition zone between oceanic and continental climates. The weather in September is variable, bringing warm sunny days as well as rain. Temperatures in September are mild, averaging around 10--15°C. However, temperatures can drop below 5°C in the morning and rise to nearly 30°C in the afternoon. Please check the weather forecast before you travel. If you plan to join the sightseeing tour on Saturday afternoon, be sure to bring a pair of comfortable walking shoes.

Visas

Please check the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to check if you need a visa to enter the country.

If you require an invitation letter for a visa, please provide your legal private residence or business address, your passport number, and the address of the Czech consulate where your visa application will be submitted. Please note that the LOC reserves the right to refuse to issue an invitation letter if there is any doubt about the purpose of your visit.

Currency

The local currency in the Czech Republic is the Czech koruna (CZK; 1 EUR ~ 25 CZK, 1 USD ~ 23 CZK). You can exchange foreign currency into CZK or withdraw cash from ATMs in the major cities, at major train stations, and at the Prague airport. Use only the official exchange office (Smìnárna in Czech). You can also use your credit card. Hotel Mědínek accepts credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

Power Sockets

The sockets are type F with a voltage of 230 V and a frequency of 50 Hz (standard Euro plug). Please take a travel adapter with you to ensure that your plug fits.
